Welcome to my Miniature Bottle Collecting Web Page.

I have been collecing miniature bottles for over 4 years. Miniature bottles, also known as "minis", "samplers" or "nips", are small bottles of alcoholic beverages. These bottles are commonly used for two reasons:

1) Serving drinks on planes, or in some areas, bars.
2) Sell as samples for people who want to try a beverage but don't want a whole large bottle.

I am part of a community who has found a third use for minis. Collecting them.

My collection

My collection has grown to over 1300 in 4 years (small, compared to some collectors I know). These bottles are mostly 50ml in size, but rage from 78ml down to 30ml. The main criteria for a bottle to be added to my collection is that the bottle be less than 100ml. While I perfer that the bottle be made of glass, I will buy a plastic bottle while I look for a glass version. While the bottles in my collection all have alcohol, a rare few (not on the list) do not. Any alcoholic beverage is allowed in the collection, which ranges from 15 proof liqueurs to a 124.6 proof bourbon (aka Headache in a bottle). I also have two or three 190 proof pure-grain bottles, but I ain't drinkin' 'em.

My Current List

As of July 1998, I have over 1300 bottles in my collection.nbsp;nbsp; Here is my list in various formats (all files have been ZIPed for download speed):

Where do I find them?

My collection of minis contains bottles from over 40 countries (also small, compared to other collections). I have obtained bottles from the following sources:

1) My home town of Lexington, KY, USA
2) My sister's home town, in the Northern Kentucky area
3) Travels to Chicago, Boston, Indiannapolis, Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Central Florida, etc, etc, etc
4) Travels to Spain and France
5) Trading with other collectors in New Zealand, Spain, Germany, Japan and Cyprus, and on the Internet

In other words, just about everywhere. If you too collect bottles, I've assembled a list of places where you can find bottles, along with places where you can't!

Duplicates

Sometimes I accidentally buy one that I already have, dispite having list-in-hand when I visit a store. In the past, I "enjoyed" my mistake of buying a duplicate, but lately I've been trading them. Here is a link to my current dups
